The confirmation that Pope Francis had accepted the invitation to come on pilgrimage to Fatima on the 12th and 13th of May, to mark the celebration of the centennial of Our Lady’s first apparition in Fatima, was received with much joy. It will be a short pilgrimage that will include the canonization of Blessed Francisco and Jacinta Marto.

The theme of the Pope’s visit is: “With Mary, I go on pilgrimage in hope and peace”. The Shrine of Fatima has created an official site with relevant

2017 marks the 100^th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady to the three little shepherds, Lucia de Jesus, Francisco and Jacinta Marto, in Fatima.We are invited to make a festive memory of this event, but above all, we are invited to embrace with renewed commitment, the calls of the Message, assured that the Immaculate Heart of Mary will always be our “refuge and the path leading to God”.

From October 24 to 28, 2016 representatives from 29 countries, such as Philippines, South Korea, Vietnam, Nigeria, Mexico, Panamá, Ireland, to name only a few, attended this meeting in Domus Pacis, the international headquarters of the World Apostolate of Fatima. There were a total of 120 people, includingbishops, priests and religious sisters.

The General Assembly of the World Apostolate of Fatima is one of the major events in the life of our association. It takes place every four years, in Fatima. The scope of the meeting is toevaluate the activities of the association and to launch the

A new book, published only in Portuguese for the time being, will be presented at the Byzantine Chapel of Domus Pacis, on September 8, 2016, Feast of the Nativity of Our Lady. 

The book, written by the Portuguese author Jose Milhazes, an historian and journalist who has lived many years in Russia, is an important source of information about the history of Russia in the XX century and the link with the Fatima event. References to the Blue Army (now World Apostolate of Fatima) and to the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan permeates the entire book and justifies the choice of Domus Pacis as the venue for the official presentation of the book.

The World Apostolate of Fatima of the archdiocese of Cebu, in the Philippines, in partnership with the Society of the Angel of Peace, has launched a program to mark the 2016-2017 Fatima Centennial.
