On May 3, 2014, the World Apostolate of Fatima in Slovakia held its first national conference, in the diocese of Žilina, here the movement has its official national seat. 

The conference was attended by one hundred delegates, members of the Fatima Apostolate from 56 parishes and also 22 invited guests. Among them, there were Nuno Prazeres and Ana Reis, the WAF International Secretaries that travelled from Fatima and offered a wonderful presentation to all by sharing their family stories from the time of the Apparitions. During the event, the Episcopal Decrees of nomination for the members of the Board of Directors of the WAF in Slovakia (Josef Mikloško, Ladislav Štefanec, Mária Kovacsova and Stanislav Pápez) were handed solemnly to them. From April 29 to Mai 2, 2014, the International Board of Trustees and the Secretariat of the World Apostolate of Fatima met at the WAF National center in Koclirov, Czech Republic.

During the meeting, this year dedicated to St. John Paul II, the Board discussed and finalized a three year Strategic Plan for the International WAF, leading up to the  Fatima Centennial in 2017. Apart from the working sessions, there was time for prayer and for meeting with H. E. Bishop Jan Vokál, the ordinary of the diocese and other representative of the Fatima Apostolate in the country.

The World Apostolate of Fatima was fully established in Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Although the movement is present in the country since 1964, only after fifty years, it arrived in Kinshasa.

The Apostolate is now growing fast with many new members signing their Pledge to the Blessed Virgin Mary and consecrating their lives to Mary. Different activities are being carried out to promote the Fatima Message and draw more people to practice it. On October 3^rd 2014, the International World Apostolate of Fatima is hosting the 12^th Annual Worldwide Children’s Eucharistic Holy Hour, with TV broadcast both from the Little Chapel of the Apparitions in Fatima, Portugal and from the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, USA.

The World Apostolate of Fatima is gathering children and young people in prayer before Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, on October 3^rd 2014, around the world, following the example of the three Little Shepherds of Fatima, to pray for peace in the families and in the world.

Last May 12 and 13, Mgr. Fouad Twal, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, presided in Fatima, the anniversary international pilgrimage, under the theme "Mother of the merciful love". In his homily he asked pilgrims to pray for peace and to work towards justice and dignity in the world, particularly in the Middle East. In large numbers, pilgrims from all parts of Portugal as well as from many different countries participated in these celebrations in honor of Our Lady of Fatima.
