One Million Children Praying

AIS ENAll over the world, children will be praying the rosary on the 18th of October 2023. This prayer initiative by the Foundation “Aid to the Church in need” aims to rekindle faith in the power of prayer. The worldwide campaign is an invitation to remember the words of Our Lady of Fatima that the childlike and trusting prayer of the rosary can truly change the world, defeat evil and bring peace.

The World Apostolate of Fatima, as in the past, is a partner to this initiative, helping to spread it and inviting its members, families, parishes, catechists, teachers to pray the rosary together with children, on the 18th of October, for peace and unity in the world. Register here your intention to join this initiative.

October 13th, 2021: Children’s Eucharistic Holy Hour

EWTN broadcast ad 2021This October 13th, anniversary of the last apparition of Our Lady in Fatima, there will be the 19th edition of the Annual Worldwide Children and Youth of the Eucharist program, broadcasted by EWTN (https://www.ewtn.com/) to over 150 countries, through its Spanish and English channels.

The program includes the celebration of the Holy Mass and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament by children and youngsters with the intention to offer reparation for the sins of humanity, for an end to the pandemic, for the conversion of poor sinners, for peace of the world and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary promised at Fatima. First World Day for Grandparents and Elderly

The Vatican’s Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life announced the celebration of the first World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, on Sunday 25th July. This World Day will become a fixed event, to be celebrated every year, on the fourth Sunday of July, the memorial of Saint Anne and Saint Joachim, the parents of the Blessed Mother Mary.

The theme chosen by Pope Francis for this inaugural commemoration is “I am with you always” (Mt 28:20). It expresses the closeness of the Lord and the Church to every older person, especially in these challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

104th Anniversary of the First Apparition of Our Lady

The World Apostolate of Fatima has launched a spiritual challenge to all Marian devotees to celebrate the 104th anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady in Fatima, occurring  this May 13th, 2021, by offering spiritual acts of reparation, expression of our conversion to God.

On this year of 2021, when the world is still fighting the pandemic, we shall celebrate the anniversary of the 13th of May by converting ourselves in the best possible way and offer our hearts to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. The purpose is to take this opportunity to renew our life away from sin and in a spirit of penance, requesting the grace and mercy from God to bring to our lives the practice of Christian virtues and perfect love.

Postponement of the International General Assembly

To Leaders and Members of the World Apostolate of Fatima:After evaluating the present reality of the pandemic in the world, we and our Board of Trustees, have decided, once again, to postpone the W.A.F. General Assembly until year 2022. The new dates will be communicated to you as soon as they are fixed.

The reasons for this decision are all associated with the pandemic Covid-19. Although the reality may be quite different from one country to another, both in terms of the daily number of Covid cases or the ongoing vaccination process; the fact is that we are far from having the pandemic controlled. Therefore, since our General Assembly is an international event that gathers people from many different countries, for a full week, in Portugal, we consider too risky, at this stage, both for the Secretariat and for
