On the occasion of the Centenary of the death of S. Francisco Marto, on April 4, 2019, the group “Mater Fatima” is promoting a worldwide spiritual project called “Fatima for the world - Rosary and Adoration for peace”.

The main celebration will take place at the parish church of Fatima, where the shepherd children were baptized and where Saint Francisco Marto, in particular, spent many hours in prayer and adoration, consoling the “Hidden Jesus”.

The main purpose of this initiative is to invite the whole catholic world to comply with Our Lady of Fatima’s request to pray for peace the conversion of sinners and the reparation to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

At the parish church of Fatima, on this day, the Christian community will assemble to have a moment of Eucharistic Adoration, recitation of the Rosary and the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It will also be a day of fasting with time for the sacrament of Reconciliation.

The World Apostolate of Fatima is inviting all its leaders in every nation to mark this day by associating with this project, promoting the recitation of the Rosary, moments of Adoration and the celebration of the Eucharist in their parishes, for this intention, united with Fatima. People can also participate simply by being spiritually united in prayer, from home, from work or from anywhere you are at on this day.  

This event will be broadcasted live to the whole world, between 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm (local Portuguese time) through social media and social-networks, to the whole world. More than 40 countries have already registered to be part of this prayer network.
