The first Congress of the World Apostolate of Fatima for Oceania was hosted by the Archdiocese of Suva, in Fiji, on November 26-29, 2015. The four day program was an enriching experience for the hundreds that participated, including the overseas delegation composed by representatives of the WAF International Board and other people from Oceania countries such as Australia, Samoa, American Samoa and Solomon Islands.

Some prominent speakers, including the Archbishop of Suva and the International President of the WAF have shared their knowledge and inputs about the task of evangelization in the Pacific land. The presence of the International Secretariat from Fatima and the greeting messages sent by the Bishop of Leiria-Fatima, the Rector of the Shrine of Fatima and others have also contributed for making this event a true “corner of Fatima”.

Apart from the conferences, the Congress program included also two big processions with the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima through the streets of Suva up to the Cathedral, where the opening and closing Masses were celebrated.

The WAF Fijian Committee excelled in dedicating their time, generosity and faith to prepare this historic event and to make everyone feel welcomed.
