On November 6th 2014, the International Secretariat of the World Apostolate of Fatima joined the pilgrimage group from WAF-USA for Holy Mass at the Chapel of the Apparitions in Fatima. The purpose was to pray and place the signed Pledges of WAF new members at the site of the Apparitions, a practice that exists since the beginning of the organization.
At the beginning of Holy Mass, officiated by Rev. Fr. Joshua Caswell, SJC, a couple of people from the pilgrimage group carried in procession various baskets full of prayer petitions brought from America and placed them at the exact spot where Our Lady appeared in 1917. Ana Reis, from the International Secretariat, also joined the procession and carried a basket with the WAF signed pledges received at the Secretariat from around the world. These were placed under the statue of Our Lady asking Her to protect and bless the new members and their families.
