The month of October is a special month of devotion to Our Lady of the Rosary. It was on October 13, 1917 that Our Lady in her final apparition in Fatima, Portugal declared herself: "I am the Lady of the Rosary. Continue always to pray the Rosary every day… Do not offend the Lord our God anymore, because He is already so much offended.”
On October 7, Feast Day of Our Lady of the Rosary, the World Apostolate of Fatima (WAF) also celebrates the anniversary of its elevation to the status of an international public association of the faithful, decreed by the Holy See, in 2005. This joyful date is commemorated worldwide, through acts of prayer and other initiatives, giving thanks to the good Lord and to Our Lady of the Rosary for this achievement. At the same time, the day is also an occasion to pray to the Holy Spirit to continue guiding the World Apostolate of Fatima, in fidelity to its long and rich history and charisma.
Members and friends of the Fatima Apostolate are also asked on this day to support the international mission of the Apostolate, by collecting funds in the parishes and in the various WAF groups. The funds collected are then transferred to the International Secretariat as a donation. You can also donate by using the Donation button on this webpage.
Also on this day, October 7, from Fatima, the Secretariat of the Apostolate will conduct the online recitation of the Rosary for peace in the world. This is an event open to all people around the world, with access through Zoom platform. You can register here to receive your access link prior to the event.
